Re: Best Time for Albino Hets
albinos and hets have held their prices real steady all year long for a while now. the morph is at least 10 yrs. old now. anytime would be a good time to buy.

So I shouldn't expect the price to dip down next summer when all the eggs start hatching.

for hets, i would not expect a huge dip if any at all. you may see hets for sale now at higher prices that may be because the are larger now ,not hatchlings.

Re: Best Time for Albino Hets
Just keep your eyes open and search, search, search. I got a pretty good deal on the pair I got this summer. Even though it ended up with me having to get two het males...but it was easily resold. You can find a pair for $600 shipped if you look hard sometimes a bit lower. I went with two different breeders and two different blood lines for diversity.

They seem to be fairly steady in price year round (and thank gawd for that). If you think about it this way, since you obviously plan to breed your pair, you don't want a market that flucuates a lot or you'll one day be in the position of being the seller in an unstable market.
Just my 02 cents LOL

Re: Best Time for Albino Hets
Buy now! Some breeders are still selling 2005 morph offspring for the normal hatchling morph market price. Unlike hatchlings that were bought at the beginning of the season for the same price, these babies may be a little more established and have more weight to them. Once they get to be a certain size, the breeders raise the price.
I would not wait for a price drop in recessives.....cause you may be waiting a while
