    1877 Python sculpture.

An Athlete Wrestling with a Python was the first of three bronze sculptures produced by the British artist Frederic Leighton. Completed in 1877

I have to say we've come a long ways since the early days of snake-handling...for one thing, it's a LOT safer with clothes on.

Thats funny, but honestly I can say I really do make sure to be clothed with the large constrictors when I’m cleaning. I wear boxers and a tank white-T after a shower at night and dont mind when cleaning or handling the Balls but with the Burm sweat pants are on hahahaha

This reminds me of the name of a previous forum member who kept large constrictors...he was known as "gottaBesleeved" lol. (not positive of the exact spelling but you get the idea)

That's super cool. Do you happen to know where the piece is? I'm curious if it's in a museum or a collector's personal collection.
