    new snake suggestions

so i have a 5’x2’x2’ enclosure available n i want something new as i only have a hognose but i have NO clue what to get i want something bigger (7’ max) but also something active and personable. BCIs have been a contender but they lack the active part, BRBs are another contender but arent as heavy bodied as id like, so im conflicted

i never really looked up adult pictures of BRBs but now that i have, they look like a good size. definitely a huge contender, just wish they had the more BCI style head

Another thing to consider is your location. Not all species are legal in all areas! I mention this because I was interested in a Retic until I found out they aren't allowed in my province.

im in florida, most anything ill get would be legal. the only things that have peaked my interest that i dont believe are legal are super dwarf retics, but im not too heartbroken over that!

You want something active & personable? Get a rat snake! My adult male Florida* rat snakes (about 11 years old att) are about 7', while the females stay shorter, especially when they lay infertile clutches every
year like my gals do. Forget the "BCI head"....or else just get a BCI. (*these are a blend of yellow, gulf hammock & probably some Everglades too- I'm their second owner, & never met the breeder, only got minimal
information from him when these were adopted & shipped to me)

I just picked up my Bredli girl a few months ago and wish I got into morellia a lot sooner. She's awesome. A male would definitely stay under 7' and most females will too.
She was well under $300 too.
