    Hannibal has arrived!

Hannibal arrived about an hour ago. Hes a bit jumpy, which is to be expected when the fed ex man carries it halfway on its side. Im also concerned he was too hot. Coming from Michigan, they had a heat pack in the box, but the temp here in Florida is in the high 70s. The heat pack measured 132° when he got here at 1pm. He was only a couple inches from the pack in a very short container. Im guessing he was in the truck all morning.

When I took him out, he felt warm and not like a snake usually does. He is now laying at the end of the tub, beside the warm hide.

Is my anxiety making me worry too much over this, or could the heat have caused any issues I should look out for?

Sorry if this is an unnecessary post. Im a little ocd when it comes to my pets and want to make sure they have the best care I can give them.

I don't know one way or another, but I think it always better to ask and find out it is okay, than not ask and find out something was wrong!

I hope Hannibal is okay, and someone more experienced is able to chime in!

Seems like he doesn't have any ill effects from shipping. He is cruising around his tub now. Yay!!

When he's settled in definitely post some pictures! He looks like an albino brooks from the one pic and that was the morph and species that got me into the hoppy so I have a bit of a soft spot for them.

Very cute critter. I'm glad he's doing well. I had a Cal king named Hannibal. I miss my kings. They're very fun snakes to keep.

    Re: Hannibal has arrived!

Heres a couple more shots of him.

I havent taken him out to handle him yet, since he just got here and I dont want to stress him out. Ill get some better ones in a week or two, once he has gotten used to his new home.
I will say though, this guy is a CHOW HOUND! Just ate two f/t pinkies off the tongs and shocked me when he hit them so fast!
