    All american pvc cages

Anyone have experience with these for bp's or colubrids? Theu are sold on etsy and seem reasonable, with many good reviews.

I've thought about these and came to the same conclusion: Good reviews and seemingly good quality. I'd like to hear what others think about these.

I have no idea if I posted that correctly. Im no good at that kind of thing. If not, they are on etsy from All American Cages. I believe this cage was $85 for just the enclosure, and up to $130 if you add heat and light to it. There are other sizes available.

That is a good deal for $85. I would probably buy one when my corns mature. If I were you, I would pick it up. You may many reasons to do so than not to, according to the reviews.

The downfall that first stands out to me is the 1/8" material. It might sag or warp when heated or stacked.

The Etsy cage is 1/8" abs plastic, An AP Cage is 1/2" CDPVC™ (Controlled Density PVC Plastic).

1/8" vs 1/2" and ABS vs PVC is the difference in pricing

They are cheap because they are made of 1/8" ABS plastic sheet instead of 1/2 inc PVC which is pretty standard for cages in this industry.

Now ABS plastic works well for crested geckos, gargoyles etc however for animal that requires heat, it will not keep heat the way PVC does. additionally you would still want at least 1/4 inch for the species I previously mentioned.

So unless you plan to keep your colubrid in a room that is heated at 85 and use ambient heat alone I would not recommend it.

That makes sense as to why the price is lower. I think Ill hold off on getting one. I dont want to have to replace it later.
