LED strip

I have an animal plastics T8 that I just got and I ordered one of those 16’ cheap LED light strips off Amazon that you can program to different colors and strobe effects. I planned on attaching the light strip to add a little flair to the enclosure. I am going to put the strip inside some clear tubing so there are no sharp edges from the LED’s that can hurt the snake, but I’m trying to think of a good way to attach the tubing. I was gonna use some clips, but I can already see my boy Duke, a male lavender tiger retic, getting behind the tubing and either pulling down the clips or getting stuck. Maybe hot glue but I’m not sure that will hold very well.

Could the light strip tube be placed at the front of the cage where the front panel meets the ceiling? Also, will the heat of being enclosed affect the longevity of the LEDs? Some LEDs fail when there is excess heat, although so saying they are frequently cheaper than other forms of lighting...Maybe make the tube able to be changed?

I used hot glue and it works perfect. I have had the led light strips installed for over a year with no issues.
