    Re: Jungle Carpet dream cage

Floodcoated both shelves last night which looks unsightly because I still need to floodcoated the top, sides , and back which will cover the drips down the walls and add additional coats to the somewhat exposed plywood edges on the shelves. Iím waiting on my epoxy and pigment order but I got my sliding glass tracks in the mail from Rockler woodworking today...theyíre kind of hard to find fyi

    Re: Jungle Carpet dream cage

I have floodcoated the top, bottom, one side and the shelves so far. Not a terribly difficult process but very time consuming considering you can only do a maximum of one side a night while the epoxy cures.

    Heat panel is ordered.

    Looking great though!!

Very cool project, I usually use silicone and multiple coats of drylock in my plywood cages. I might have to try epoxy on my next, wonder if it would hold up against tegu or monitor claws.

Iím sure it would but I wouldnít go with the high gloss epoxy in that situation then because you can still scratch it.
