New boa enclosure, question about hides

I built a melamine enclosure that measures 6ft long x 2ft deep x 1ft tall. I installed a 120 watt reptile basics radiant heat panel.
the heat panel requires any surface in the enclosure to be atleast 6 inches from the panel, prohibiting me from putting a hide on the hot side of the enclosure.
can i get away with only providing one hide on the cool side?
generally i give one hide on each side but that wont be possible for this situation.

So you have 12" tall enclosure.....

Reptile Basics 120 watt panel (120 watt panel measures approximately 12.5"x32.5"x1.75") So 2" thick

Reptile Basics (Medium size Reptile utility hide boxes- 9.5"x7"x2.375" tall) so 2.5" tall (a large hide is 3")

    Plus 6" clearance.....

Should just fit under your panel with no issues I would think, with an inch or so to spare??

How are you regulating the RHP?

I think an appropriate size hide and a thermostat regulated RHP should be okay.

I have Boaphiles and my female boa is in a 6X2X1' with a heat panel, but I am not sure of the wattage. Anyway, no issues.
