Dissapointing Season
So out of 5 pairs that were put together only one female laid eggs. 100% het Pied x 100% het Pied. 6 large eggs were the result, and 3 weeks down the line, they are doing great. Sadly, they are not mine. They belong to a friend of mine. Pic to follow.

Re: Dissapointing Season
The only one of my 4 pairs that seems to have taken is a Fire x Bumblebee pair. The girl has not eaten for 7 weeks now, but has put on almost 200 grams in weight. Here are some pics taken last night. I have not seen an Ovulation. What do you all think.

Re: Dissapointing Season
It is said that they glow before they go. How long does the glow stay, till the eggs are laid, or till the pre-lay shed.

From my observations with my snakes, glow starts in the weeks (sometimes months) leading up to ovulation. It seems the brightest right around the day-day or so they ovulate ("go"), then returns to normal - sometimes within a day or so. So, yes, sometimes it lasts until the pre-lay shed, sometimes it disappears before.
If a snake resorbs late in her cycle, she'll glow, glow, glow - then fade without every ovulating.
