    Tree Boa Perches

Hey everyone, I'm getting an emerald TB soon and I have a cage all set up for him, temps and everything are nice. The only thing I have left to do is put in the perches. Those of you with ETBs or other arboreal snakes, how do you go about putting perches in a glass enclosure (such as ExoTerra)? Thanks!

    I used expanding foam: https://www.instagram.com/p/B3QOg9VB..._web_copy_link

You can also use silicone to secure cups, like these:

    with this silicone:

Edit: I like the magnetic ones posted above, but I would be worried my ETB would be too fat for them.

Oh wow, they have a video of those magnetic perches holding 10 lbs. I would definitely go for those, instead of siliconing anything.

I haven't used their products yet, but I hear good things about their products. I know a few people who have used the tub perches and love them.

I like the idea of the magnetic perch holder. It gives you options for moving it, as well as keeps cleaning easy. I'll be picking a set up for my Bredli girl once she's outgrown her quarantine enclosure and moves into her adult enclosure. I'll also be making her a PVC "jungle gym" type perch. I have a small version in her QT enclosure and I like how it's working out. For her permanent one I'm going to spray paint it with the textured paint that dries looking like stone and clear coat it.

I second this. I use the perch holders in two of my cages. I use PVC cages so the ones i use are screwed in with stainless 3/8 long screws. On glass either silicone or use the magnetic ones. His products are ingenious

I love everything that Specialty Enclosure Designs produces, but wanted to add, just as an option, that the folks at PVC Cages also produce a selection of perches: http://pvccages.com/?wpsc-product=perch-kits

Editing because I guess I should add for the sake of sharing info: For some reason that is entirely beyond me, my GTP freaking LOVES a fake tree from PetSmart (the product line is All Living Things). I just plopped it in the middle of his enclosure to give him a 'bridge' between perches and down to his water bowl, but he has decided that it is his favorite perch. The temp and humidity there are the same as one of his nearby PVC perches, but he'll spend over half of his time on that fake tree. Go figure. So maybe your ETB would like one too, haha.

I had to chime in about this. I am a fan of pvc style cages and all of my cages have been made by Jim at pvccages.com. I love his cages

I was thinking about putting a fake tree in with the perches as well! Sounds like something I'll try as I like adding to the tank's overall aesthetic too.
