Congratulations Craig! She's a pretty one! I know you've had your eyes and heart set on a Bredli fow a while. Casey Cannon produces some gorgeous Bredli too. I'm pretty sure you'll love the Morelia experience. They're still my favorite snake species.

If you like Two and a half Men you'd like Archer. It's a very witty comedy. Pushes some boundaries, but hilarious.

I've got a pretty good idea what I'm getting into, I've handled a handful of carpets of various sizes. But never for more than a few minutes here and there. I'm so excited!!!

Thanks you my brother!!! I'm stoked!!!!
I'd heard nothing but good about Casey, and he was quick to reply, easy to talk to, answered all my questions...
And as an added bonus: I didn't even realize shipping was included in his price. Jackpot!! Hahaha!!

Honestly bro, your love for morellia was one of the advocations that made my decision so easy.
Something tells me if we didn't live 1,000 miles apart we'd be getting together for a weekend BBQ and checking out each other's critters!!!

This one's gonna be tough. I'm probably gonna flip flop at least a dozen times.

Hahaha! Thanks Gio!!! Now I've got to step up my photography game so I can steal some of your photo ideas!! Hahaha!! Seeing your carpets was another big check in the "pro" column. I just had to do it.

It was time to go bigger, but this is my one big girl. She'll definitely be the biggest I want to go. I feed on the conservative side, so it'll take a few years to get some good size on her, but we'll get there.

Im definitely fired up to step into morellia.

    Re: She'll be here Tuesday!!!!

Mazel Tov! Sorry, I just saw this - was sick all weekend.

    Awesome pickup buddy.

Carpet's are beautiful and inquisitive snakes. They are awesome eaters and fun to handle. Lots of fun, but they like food, and can be nippy when young (again no issues there with Yafe, although he will hiss occasionally when I go to pick him up). I encourage hook training with them.

Two things I've learned on my "carpet ride" with Yafe.

    1. Carpet's can be sensitive to RI's.

Yes, Yafe came with one, probably because of fedex losing his package. However, in researching and working with Yafe for a while now, Carpet's seem more prone to it than other species who like decent humidity, but not crazy humidity. There have been a few times, either because of a bad shed, or random, or me being paranoid, that I've raised his temps and humidity for a few days to ensure he doesn't get another one/have it come back. I've also read and seen other instances where people have experienced RI's in Carpet's, especially in conjunction with stress.

    2. I've heard, although Yafe had zero issues, that switching to rats from mice can be difficult. Try to do it ASAP when she is capable of taking them (I switched Yafe to rat pups when he able).

Again, congrats and keep us in the loop!
