NEWBIE W/ Morph Questions
Hi everyone, I am looking to buy my first ball python but I have a concern. I fell in love with a little cutie and I soon after learned he is a Cinnamon Queenspin, meaning he has the spider gene. I have only the internet to go from so I am not sure (which is why I am hoping someone on here can help me) about him having a wobble. I've seen the videos on YouTube of these babies corkscrewing and wobbling around and it would break my heart if he had a bad wobble (a minor one I think I could handle). Does anyone know what the chances of him having a bad wobble are?
Thank you so much in advance!!
Jordyn
P.S. all genetics involved are: spider, pinstripe, cinnamon, pastel & lesser.

As far as I know, it's not fully known what makes some wobble worse than others.
Personally, I don't feel good about it, but here's a good video I recently watched that has more explanation, and why it may not be a big issue:

They all wobble to a degree anyone telling you any differently is either lying or is misinformed.
It can come and go and it can be mild or severe (rare) depending on stress level and temperatures.

Re: NEWBIE W/ Morph Questions
I’ve had a bumblebee ball python for years without any issues whatsoever. He acts normal and the wobble has only been noticeable a couple times. When I moved and he was stressed it became slightly noticeable but went away. It was only noticeable because he missed a strike and their strike recovery is a little odd compared to a non-spider gene animal. Other than that he normally eats just fine and behaves normally. Although if I’m being honest ball pythons aren’t really my favorite snakes. Don’t get me wrong I love my lil dude but they’re kind of “boring” and their tendency to fast can be annoying at times. In my opinion my boa has been a much more enjoyable animal to have. I just thought I’d chime in with my experiences, idk if you’re dead set on a bp or if you’re in the research stage of finding your perfect pet snake. Clint’s Reptiles also has a great video on ball pythons vs common boas that might be worth a watch.
