I actually moved out all of my other sayi to focus on this red line. Between holdbacks and outcrossing stock, this project takes up the vast majority of space in my reptile room. One of my outcrossings last year was to a red patternless multihet so there's a fair chance whitesided and axanthic will make a future appearance.

These are sibling males, just under a month old.

These reds seem to hatch out particularly feisty. So much so that I can't even keep them together while waiting for them to shed out. As soon as I enter the room they start throwing hissy fits and popping off at each other from the movement they themselves cause. Once they're out of the egg they get thrown into individual setups and just put together for group/comparison shots. I've learned to full charge the camera batteries before going out to take pictures too because they're moving so much I usually get 20 blurry for a single decent shot.

More baby bull snake posturing. They're really quite cute, haha.

This one was dreaming of the day such a stance would put him eye level with me. He'll outgrow this level of defensiveness long before that though:

Crazy cute! I've even had rosy boas born like that too (biting each other & had to be kept separately right off), but it's far more normal with bull snakes, lol.

    Love the bulls👍

I was lucky enough to do some field work with bulls when a friend of mine took me out here in the north metro area.

    Nice photos 😊👍

Those open mouth shots are so cute. It's like they are trying to say "get that camera out of my face!". lol

Awesome pics!! Such perfect timing on that first one!!!

They are feisty, I see!!! Bulls are definitely climbing up my list if I decide to add another colubrid down the line.

That’s some serious posing them snakes are doing. Really like that last photo in post #13. These guys remind me of the day my Albino showed up, he had the same game face, and the hissing was crazy loud, lol. Thanks for sharing.
