Deli cup with pvc holder is awesome! But kind of worry whether they can find water
Hi guys! The idea of deli cup with pvc holder is really awesome! So far I haven't seen any spill! The substrate is not wet anymore lol! And when I change the water the substrate won't stick to the bottom of the bowl and spread everywhere in the way to bathroom anymore lol! And the description of the deli cup said it's reusable, I guess I can always wash it and reuse it lol?
However I kind of worried that can they find water from their new water bowl? (I know it's stupid...but really want to make sure) Their old ones are much shorter and shallow, now it's pretty tall. Can they "smell" or "see" water? I haven't seen they drink since I replace their bowls, so kind of worried about that. I also plan to replace the bowl of my baby Suriname boa. Thank you so much! Here're the pictures.

When in doubt, I often gently hold a snake so that it's face tips into the water bowl...but mostly, they can smell water. Some have more trouble finding it than others-
I've seen snakes that try to drink from the mostly dry outer side of their water bowls rather than where the water really is...silly snakes! But most do find it.

Thank you so much lol! So make their face tip the water bowl is to make them remember where the water bowl is?

Just show it to them...lower them to it as best you can, or drip some water on their face when they get near it...snakes learn their way around, most should find it
anyway, just some are pretty clueless, & especially when the bowls are a lot taller than they are. Snakes are shy by nature and they avoid exposure to avoid being
something else's dinner. You can also put a hide or other cage "furniture" next to the bowl so that when they crawl across that they'll come face to face with the
water level too. Sometimes we have to think like a snake.

Thank you so much! That's a brilliant idea! I'll try to find some 'furniture' to put near the water bowl!
