I jumped out of an airplane!

This has nothing to do with herps but I went skydiving this weekend! It was a birthday gift and it was awesome! Thought I'd share the experience with you guys.

Better yet, you obviously landed well! Congrats! I thought about trying that some years ago, but the others I was going with backed out & it just
didn't happen. Did you enjoy it?

Re: I jumped out of an airplane!

Surprisingly the landing was smooth. I expected to hit the ground and have to run or roll lol but it was a soft stop. I really did enjoy it. It was certainly a once in a lifetime experience. And I do mean ONCE in a lifetime! While I enjoyed it, I don't ever plan on doing it again. That much anxiety at one time was enough for me! But it was totally worth it and I had loads of fun. Check that one off the bucket list!

And bogertophis, it's never too late! Just because you didn't go before doesn't mean you can't go now! Only thing stopping you is you!

Thanks for the encouragement, but yeah, it's too late. I have a bad knee & I wouldn't care to make it worse. Not all landings are as good as yours was.

Pretty awesome Toad. I had done about a dozen jumps back in the day, but none in a really long time. Your video makes me want to do it again. Thanks for sharing.

I don't see myself doing it a dozen times lol. Once was enough for me!

Oh come on bcr it wasn't as bad as you'd think but it was definitely pretty heart wrenching.

No time like the present Ziggy! You still have time to make a jump before winter hits!

An iFLY recently opened not too far from me, and I have considered trying that. https://www.indoorskydivingsource.co.../ifly-loudoun/

That does look super fun! Go do that a few times then pull the trigger on a real plane! You won't regret it.
