Day 57, haven't shrunk

I've got my very first clutch of eggs about to hatch and I'm not sure what to do. I'm at day 57 and only one eggs has started to shrink in. My humility has been perfect along with a slight variation in temperature but it always stayed between 87 and 89. My question is, how far do you push it before you intervene? I've seen way to many horror stories of people cutting, it's being to early and the babies dieing. That being said I dont want to wait to long and miss an opportunity to save a drowning snakes life. My thoughts are seeing as how only one egg has started to shrink that they just arent ready yet. I'm of the mind to let nature take its course but what do you think? Is there such a thing as eggs just not shrinking and still hatching?

I wouldn't start panicking yet.
Most sources say that it takes 53-55 days for a hatching, you're literally only 2 days over, no big deal at all! All animals mature at their own pace. Its a natural thing for eggs to fail on their own, even if its in the homestretch, but its a safer bet to leave the eggs alone and hope they hatch, than to get jittery and cut them prematurely (essentially killing your own clutch). Ride it out B)

I would ride it out, I have heard of clutches pipping on day 64/65, and read recently of a clutch that pipped on day 72. So day 57 is really nothing to panick about.

DO NOT CUT until one start slitting you are incubating low and it will take several more days.

As for dimpling not all eggs dimple before hatching, I have eggs that are still fully plump when hatchlings slit through.

Day 56 will be on the 5th september. I count 10 days backward and from that point, daily changing the air in the egg box, for the time I clean out the water condensation. My eggs start to hatch at day 60-63. No need for cutting before.

Dont worry I wasn't going to cut them haha. I was just wondering on timing because from everything I've read its 53-61 days and I was almost at the 61 day mark. The portion that concerned me was they weren't shrinking. I'm of the mind to let nature run its course. Thank guys

Side question, when they do hatch you obviously let them stay in there eggs until they decide to crawl out of there own accord. That being said, do you guys leave them in the incubator until they have there first shed or can I move them over to my rack (obviously keeping them together) until they shed, just keeping the humidity high?

Leave them in the incubator until they are out of their eggs than set them up in a communal tub on wet paper towel until their first shed, than separate them in individual tubs.

Personally I wait until everyone is out of the eggs. Just throwing out the empty shells. Then I give them a cleaning bath and relocate to a clean box with paper towel (little drops of wateron it)+ water, that goes back to the incubator. After I notice a shed I relocate it to hatchling rack on coco husk.

Awesome thanks guys. I looked forward to see what I get. Champagne pinstripe albino to a mystic Potion. Should be cool, I'll post pictures when they hatch because the next game will be figuring out what they all are haha.
