Is my new BP too skinny?
I got my boy in the mail two days ago, and I'm wondering if he's too thin? His spine seems like it's really stucking out to me.
Also, if anyone has any name suggestions, I'd love to hear them! I'm having trouble coming up with one.

Re: Is my new BP too skinny?
Doesn't look bad at all to me, but curled up in someone's hands is the worst way to tell body condition, so it's impossible to be sure.
For a good reference photo, you want a picture of the whole body with him laying flat/stretched out or on the move slithering somewhere.
I've seen ones held like that with that much spine showing or more when they definitely aren't thin at all, so just because it is visible there doesn't mean he is thin.

Right, when the snake is curled, it forces the spine to stick out. Pretty little one, no rush on the name...it will come to you when you get to know him better...he's
not going to learn it anyway, nor will he come when you call.

After today I’d leave him alone for 7 to 10 days to settle down and get used to his new home . Just freshen the water ( during the day whilst he’s asleep)

I can make any snake look like this by the way you are holding him.
If you really want to know whether your animal has good proportion or not have him at rest on a flat surface.
