Do you keep your snake sheds?
Time for another poll, I love making these as it is fun and I like to see all the different results of what everyone does. This one is about whether or not you keep your snake sheds.
I only have a few sheds, one from when Crowley was a baby, 1 from when he was half grown and 1 from his full grown size. I will only keep more if they are near perfect.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
1.2 Coastal Carpet Pythons
Mack The Knife, 2013
Lizzy, 2010
Etta, 2013
1.1 Jungle Carpet Pythons
Esmarelda , 2014
Sundance, 2012
2.0 Common BI Boas, Punch, 2005; Butch, age?
0.1 Normal Ball Python, Elvira, 2001
0.1 Olive (Aussie) Python, Olivia, 2017
Please excuse the spelling in my posts. Auto-Correct is my worst enema.

Re: Do you keep your snake sheds?
I've probably got around 20 or so. Every time one sheds I just hang it up on an old compound bow hanging on the wall. I think I only do it because it annoys my wife hahaha.

Sometimes. Occasionally I’ll take a shed periodically to get a rough idea of growth. It’s kinda cool to see a tiny and a giant shed from the same animal.

I have a few good ones, especially off of the bigger snakes. One off of my larger boas is a decoration in my office cube; it is longer than my coworkers are tall, because sheds stretch.
They are all convinced that I am nuts.

When the JCP gives me a clean shed, we hang it on the wall. I call it Snake Tinsel

Re: Do you keep your snake sheds?
I keep the first good shed from a new animal but not much else. However, I did see a picture of sheds used for a small Xmas tree’s garland that has inspired me to keep some for holiday decorating purposes

I keep my corn snake's - occasionally people ask me for snake shed, horse hair, horse shoes, etc. for craft projects or their altars, so I have a habit of holding onto everything I can from my animals just in case someone needs it someday. But the BP always poops in hers so those get thrown out.

Re: Do you keep your snake sheds?
My BP has only had 3 sheds with me so far, so I've kept all of them. They're all nice, full-piece ones which makes them a good record of my BP's growth. I noticed that my BP's younger skins are noticeably finer and softer than the older ones. Not sure if I will continue to keep them through his lifetime since that would be A LOT of sheds. Maybe just when he's still growing fast.
My entire family thinks it's creepy to keep the dead skin though LOL.
