    Infected toe?

My 8 y/o normal shed last night and when I was checking his toes I noticed on his rear left foot, one of his toes/claws was kinda red/purple. Is it a burst blood vessel? An infection? Also, I soaked his toe shed off so no worries about his other toe with the shed :)
