?Question¿
With ball pythons you have to wait a week to hold your snake. I was just wondering if it was the same with cornsnakes???And that is the same with feeding, right?

Re: ?Question¿
It's true with any snake.
Wait a week, offer food, and as always, leave the snake alone for 48 hours after the meal.

72 hours after a meal you should leave it alone.

Re: ?Question¿
Well, 48 is fine for me.. you know how many snakes I have.. isn't that enough evidence?

Actually, Kathy Love reccomends 36 - 48 hrs. She's quite well known as a cornsnake breeder and has published two books on corns and their care.

Re: ?Question¿
Actually, there is no one way about it.... I personally wait 48-72 hours at least with all my snakes, I dont want to take the chance of a regurgitation happening, thats just gross. I guess to it really depends on the animal and how well its environment is tweaked (enabling them to digest faster maybe if temps are right?) Many ppl do actually hold thier snakes in as little as 36 hours as Kathy Love suggests, and there is no problem with that either as long as you know that animal is not going to regurgitate.

Re: ?Question¿
Only time I'd make it more than 48 is with a super wacko insanely nervous snake, or a snake that had a REALLY big meal and still has a big ol' lump in it's belly after two days.

Re: ?Question¿
72 hours is just more conservative. Doesn't hurt anything, but it usually isn't necessary, that's all.
