    Finally a couple more clutches

So I went on vacation and of course a couple of the girls I thought were going to go weeks ago both decided to lay while I was gone lol. Nice surprise to come home to, I just hope it was humid enough and mommas did a good enough job incubating for the up to 7 days they were on their own. I did make sure to soak their substrate before I left just in case so I'm pretty sure they are good. They all look great and are safe in the incubator.

This is the first clutch for both these girls and I think they both did great considering.

First clutch, inferno x freeway, 5 eggs no slugs.

She's never been a good eater, at 3 years old she was only 1100-1200 grams but she was showing signs of building so I paired her and she finally started slamming medium rats weekly for a few months straight while I paired her. She went off food about a month ago and now just laid five huge healthy eggs. She still has a good healthy build and you'd never guess she just laid eggs. She's a good example of why the weight to start breeding females is more of a guidline, she's not the first girl I've had give a nice healthy clutch and still have a good healthy build right after laying. I think age and build can be a better indicator than weight. I do believe if you decide to pair a female in this weight range it is important to continue feeding through the breeding season, both females I had go this light pounded food until a month before laying.

I'd love to hit a freeway or two with this clutch especially with hgw and pastel but the odds gods will have to be with me, it would be really cool to hit a worlds first freeway though that's for sure!

Second clutch, disco bee x orange dream fire black pastel, 8 healthy eggs no slugs

This girls been a little piggy since I got her. I believe shes 3-4 and she was over 3000g when I started pairing her, she went off food fairly quickly but after 8 nice healthy eggs she still looks big and thick.

This clutch I'm hoping for some disco inferno combos but this ones all luck, something like 1/64 for all the many possibilities if I remember right but I should hopefully get a nice variety of combos at least.

Time to sit back and try to wait patiently.

I finally got around to candling these two clutches last night. The clutch of 5 all look great. These may be the largest eggs I've had yet, I should of weighed them but don't care enough to mess with them at this point. Should be 5 nice plump healthy babies pipping out. The clutch of 8 unfortunately has one with no veins and more of a yellow color so I'm 99% sure it's not fertile but the other 7 all look great. The bad one is stuck in the cluster so I'll just leave it and hope for the best.

Re: Finally a couple more clutches

Looks like I forgot to update this, I got another clutch a couple weeks ago. Bumble belly x freeway. 7 good eggs.

The other two clutches should be hatching in about 2 weeks, this one middle of October.

I also just cut a team effort DG clutch last night, looks like we killed the odds and most are visual DG. I'll make a post for that clutch once they are out.

Here's the bumble belly girl, shes a nice high white example so I'm excited to see how that shows if I'm lucky enough to hit any freeways.

Re: Finally a couple more clutches

The freeway clutch looks real promising! So far I can see 2 pastel freeways an ivory and then a couple I'm not sure on yet but maybe pastel hgw asphalt, very blushed and pretty but I don't think it's inferno like mom. The pastel freeways are gorgeous and could possibly have another gene. Now I just hope ones a female so I get a holdback.
