For $650---Is your Lavender Albino a female Het Pied?...That would explain the price.

I got my male (pictured), and a female 100% Het--$150 for the pair

Female Lavender Albinos are going for about $350 - $400 on MM. So if there are no other genes at play, your wife wins this round. That said, don't get all discouraged but instead use it as a teachable moment and next time do a little more homework before you purchase. You win some, you learn some. It's still a lovely animal.

USD 650 is a little steep for a young animal of either sex. I picked up a Lavender het pied male for 650 cad from a local breeder this year.

Was it from a local breeder or MM?

Ill tell you she does look gorgeous with all those spots. Do you know what the pairing was? Maybe she is a 50% or 66% het or another gene that wasnt mentioned in the sale because it cant be guaranteed. Was this in USD? In the end its only money.

We work with Lavender it also depends on the size. If a female at or over 1000g then 650 is not too bad since they tend to bring more than babies. I think the market on a single gene female Lavender with no Hets or other genes is about $350-$400 so for an established Adult or Subadult that would be to size to breed this winter 650 would be a fair price imo. If she is a juvenile, its a little high. We bought 3 female Lavenders, a female Lesser Lavender and a male Blackhead het Lavender in the spring of last year at about 500g (except the male was a hatchling) each for $1600 for the group.

    Sounds like a "win" then.
