    Re: Noxubee Wildlife Refuge

Not the refuge this time, but a couple critters found while camping this past weekend near Kilmichael, MS. Few bonus pictures of the night sky and the lake and such.

Trail through the property where I found the critters.

What a beautiful spot! Nice Coluber pics too- he's very photogenic & apparently likes to model?- lucky critters to live there.

Back to Noxubee Wildlife Refuge programming.
Stunning sunset followed by the first venomous of the year for me tonight.

    Re: Noxubee Wildlife Refuge

Haven’t gotten out to the refuge quite as often as I’d hoped this summer and been a bit slow when I have made it out there. Here’s a couple finds from the last two trips out road cruising.

I believe diamondback water snake…? (Not 100% on the exact species identification) Nerodia of some sort nonetheless.

Storeria dekayi Dekay’s Brown Snake. One of the largest I’ve found at close to 12” long or so.

Not at the refuge, but out on my nightly walk circuit.
