Shed stuck to a scab on Ball python’s head

My Ball Python has had this scab on the top of his head for some time before this last shed. Im guessing it was a burn from getting to close to a upper heat source ( which he doesnt have anymore ) of his tank. I kept everything clean until now to about bacteria, and was hoping he’ll just shed it off.

So he shed recently in one piece but shed was still stuck to
the scab of his head, I have soaked him to see if he gets rid of it by himself but no results. Today he started hissing when being put in water and started to get stressed out.

I want to know what can I do, taking him to a vet being a last resort.

    Thank you

This is how it looks like.

Be patient...leave it alone. It should shed off when it's healed...& probably with the next shed. It might not be a burn, if there is a screen top they're often abrasive-
& this might be a "head rub"...many snakes push on cage tops & get injuries this way. If the top is very abrasive, you could replace it or line it with a type of softer
nylon screening on the inside. The scab on his head doesn't look at all raw, but if he manages to rub it again, use a dab of Betadine (povidone iodine, dab on using
a Q tip) or a bit of other topical antiseptic like Vetericyn (a gel that's made for pet use), or a tiny amount of Neosporin (in a pinch- it's made for humans & you should
never use the pain relief formula, ONLY the regular type Neosporin).
Rudeness is the weak man's imitation of strength.
