I think I made a mistake and confused Pokigron with another type of BCC from Venezuela that are not a dwarf species. I cannot remember what they are called and apologize for my lack of knowledge here, I am still learning about localities.

Gus didn't cross. Because of their size, the thought is through history, they probably bred with smaller locale BI's at some point and that's why the males are 4-5FT and females max out about 6FT, unlike many BCC's that can get large.

Again, sorry I misspoke. Thank you for the correction and I am glad I can clarify.

Yeah, I cannot say enough about Tommy. He's an awesome guy and we stay in touch and I send pictures of Feliz.

EDIT: Paraguanera Venezuelan Boas is what everyone seems to think I have. Feliz, however, is not one, he is a different Locale Species from Venezuela.

The confusion may be because Pokigron Suris are one of the smaller Suri boas.

They have been described as "dwarf" BCC boas by a German Locality breeder.

My friend has 2 Rio Bravo Pokis and the female is a 7 footer at a fairly advanced age.

Sauzo and JMCROOK both have the amazing Poki Locale.

The boa you have is probably closely related to mine.

The Barranquilla, Colombian has traits of both BCC and BCI. Only because Gus was not 100% certain the Colombians he had were not BCC, he called them BCI.

    Locality animals are special!

That is really interesting in all counts.

    Thank you for the info.

I love both Feliz and Behira (my ghost BI female). I regret getting into boas so late, but also couldn’t be happier with my two. Different personalities, but both sweet and awesome animals.

Re: Who Is Keeping Locality Boas?

Everybody on this thread has some truly lovely boas! They all seem so healthy and content. This and the other locality threads are quite wonderful, and they've lead me to some great reading about the different localities and their ecology. Thanks to all of you who've been posting about your locality boas!

I’m awaiting the shipment of a San Felipe’s Ghost Rosy Boa, idk if it’s considered a BCC or BCI or not but all I know is it’s a locality. I’m very excited to receive my baby next month. the photo is just a stock photo till Ryan sends me my Boa baby. Then there will be more photos to follow.

Rosie boas don't have the normal boa Latin name, I found this, after I googled it, I always wondered what it was

Are they considered BCC or BCI’s I’m still new to the boa thing? I’m very happy to be getting one of these. When I went to buy my first BP I saw a Rosy in the pet store and have wanted one every since. That was over 6 years ago. This will be my very first boa
