    A couple of garters

When I was out kayaking today, I managed to catch a couple of garter snakes in the woods near the reservoir in Waterbury, VT. I really liked the first one's pattern and coloration.

Aww, so cute, I like the picture with the tongue sticking out. That snake looks okay with being on you, last time I picked up a garter snake it musked all over me, now I just leave em be since then. Is the snake in the last picture or just showing where you picked it up from? I probably spent too much time looking for it. lol

Oh no! Yes, the last picture was just to show the environment they were found in. I was surprised since I had hiked up onto a small cliff overlooking the water. I was'nt even looking for snakes at the time; they found me, lol.

Those garters bring me back. Those were the first snakes I would catch in the yard and woods behind my childhood house.
    Thanks for sharing!
