I wish I was better at IDing YB but unfortunately it's a tough one for me. That definitely looks DG but I honestly don't think it has YB either, the edges of the belly of my YB DG are much more pixelated and her color is even a little more yellow. Hopefully someone better with YB can confirm because I'm not 100% Do you have pictures of the parent that supposedly has YB or siblings that for sure have YB?

Pictures of all the babies and parents would probably help with the identifications. I'm assuming this is your clutch? Congrats, both babies you posted so far are gorgeous!

Alright, now you got me stumped lol. What is it exactly that you're seeing that makes you think this one is YB but the other is not? Just the little bit of additional black on the belly? I thought that didn't matter so much but that the edges of the belly are what matter and that with YB there is checkering and it's usually pixilated or peppered at the low ends of the sides. I can see that on my YB but this one still looks clean to me other than the black patches on the actual belly. Is that common for YB?

Re: YB or not?
It’s not mine my friend, it’s from a breeder friend and im buying a baby from him since they are all good in quality. But I’m trying to get one that is YB to fit my next projects. But sometimes it’s hard to identify YB.
I will get this last one since him and I are 99% sure it has YB on it :p

Re: YB or not?
Since the Desert Ghost obscures the yellow belly highlights on the dorsal ridge and the belly patterning/coloration is of little use in this situation--only the sides are useful (which is a common occurrence in combos).
The pixellation is obvious under magnification. Pixellation such as that found on the sides of a yellow belly can also be seen in snakes carrying certain recessive Het genes, but, if yellow belly is a likely option--Occam's Razor would indicate that this is the correct choice.

There could be obvious markers on the belly you can't see in the photo.
