Re: Such an amazing woman.
So sorry for your loss, man. It always sucks just a bit more to lose any of the special ones in our life.
My "parents" were giving myself and my older brother up to a foster home when I was 3 and he was 8 but my grandparents had other plans for us. We moved in when I was 4 and they officially adopted us when I was 8. Grew up hunting & fishing my whole life, just as your family. I get that strong bond, which you clearly understand. Nothing like the love of maw-maw & paw-paw.

Re: Such an amazing woman.
Thanks everyone. Traveling tomorrow from Texas to Alabama and back Sunday. I have an animal sitter that will be looking out for my dogs and snakes all weekend. I would take Rainbow with me but so many in my family are anti snake.... silly really.

I hope you have a safe trip, that’s quite the drive. Hope everything goes as best as possible considering the circumstances. I think that’s a common thing to be anti snake as much as I see it sadly, both my wife’s side and my side of the family are anti snake. My wife is even anti snake.
