    First chondro

Had a friend offer me a deal I couldnt pass up, been wanting one of these guys for a long time now. Got him and his 3x2x2 and RHP, with live plants, for 200 dollars, couldnt pass it up. Hes a little over a year old now.

Hes a Aru and Jayapura cross, does good with handling also.

Only question I really have for this guy, should I keep this large water bowl or go a little smaller. The live plants and substrate is keeping the humidity up about 80 once I got it all set back up and misted for the day, read 40-70 is good for them.

Heres a few pics of him tho.

The plants got trimmed way back after these pics. Was too much for my liking.

Beautiful chondro! Looks healthy and well cared for. The critter and cage for 2 benjis! You can't beat that with a bat!

Thats a good buddy you have! You got a steal!!! The water dish you have in there is fine. Just make sure he does drink from it. My GTP doesn't use the water dish on the bottom of the tank so I have the two small brackets made by Specialty Enclosure Designs to hold small water dish mounted in the upper portions of the tank which the GTP uses all the time. The water dish on the bottom of the cage is more for humidity help. On the other hand, my ETB uses her water dish on the bottom of the cage all the time. Great looking GTP and congrats!!

Pics from a little earlier today, got some white and yellow specs coming in, blue and yellow line coming at his belly scales. Cant wait to see how he changes as he gets older.

Nice pics! Good looking gtp. Aru is my favorite locality. They seem to get some really deep green in them. With the jayapura mixed in, you could get some awesome blue speckling too. And when you throw in that he has a calm demeanor and you can hold him.......well you hit a home run
