    Sure, that's fine. "Betadine" is actually the brand name, what you're looking for is "povidone iodine"...even generic brand would be fine.

    ("Betadine"- it's like the way "Kleenex" brand is often used as the generic term for "facial tissues" since it's so well-known. )
