Worse luck the owner sold the land to a developer to build houses on
I still buy houseplants for my centre I'm at now and get to make some great displays with them, but I gues alot of our houseplants in the uk are actually your outdoor plants in the states depending on where you live

It's so crazy to me that there are places in the US where some of my houseplants grow outdoors, the northeast is great but thinking about living somewhere tropical keeps me going haha. That sounds like such a fun job, you really hit the jackpot!

I like plants a lot, though it's very casual right now and not really a hobby. I only have about 20, but it's not nearly enough - I plan to move out of state next spring so I'm going to wait until after that to get more, rather than worry about a lot of plants in a big move. (I'll be worried enough about losing my aloe; it's been with me for several years and I'm very attached.)
I have pretty standard houseplants - succulents, dracaena, pothos - and also grow a couple things on my balcony. Mostly jalapeņo peppers, herbs like cilantro and rosemary and mint, catnip... when I'm not living in an apartment, I'd like to have a proper small garden with a couple vegetables.

Do house plant in bio-active vivariums count lol?
I do not have a green thumb I would love to have plant but I touch them and they die literally, plant are my weakness but the ones I have in my bioactive setup which are the easiest plant to keep (pothos) do very well, than again they have a grow light and misting system.

We had an aloe plant when I was growing up. Such a cool plant, and very handy when there are two boys growing up in the house. That aloe plant healed a lot of ouchies!
