Wow, he's gorgeous! I can't wait for my girls to be all big and hefty like that.

(You know, I love all the color morphs and whatnot, but a classic is a classic for a reason. I think the wild coloring is every bit as beautiful and striking as any morph!)

Thanks, but he actually is a morph. Pastel just old and a little brown now. Suppose you could consider that a classic morph though

Been ravenous this last year or so. Only refused two meals since I think last September. Loves to hang out on his branch and stare at the doors, stalking every night.

Thanks, brother! For as blah as royal pythons can seem in comparison to some of my other critters, Geoffrey is actually pretty darn entertaining to watch at night. He's more active, feeds more consistently, and maintains a heavier average weight all year with his more sparing and sporadic feeding schedule the last several years. Holds steady around 1600grams and is about 3'10", maybe 3'11" on a good day. Hard to believe I'll have had him for 11yrs in a month.

11 years is good, but he probably has LOTS more great years ahead of him. Bring 'em on!

Re: My old man, Geoffrey Roderick

Happy generalized hatch day of “mid summer sometime?” to the OG, Geoffrey Roderick/G-Rod! 12yrs old this summer and hopefully only about 1/3 of the way through life or less.

Picture moments before he nearly came flying out of the enclosure at me during feeding

I love a snake with a good appetite! And he's a beauty, too.
