Ahh yes my mistake, I got them mixed up.
I would still contact pro-products directly. If you waited days, I don't see how this could have happened, esp with just spraying the tub.

The half-life of permethrin is 30 days if not in direct sunlight. So, after a few days it will still be near full strength.
Permethrin also bonds nicely to water so if the snake drank or even soaked in the spilled water it would end up poisoned.

Re: P-A-M poisoning
Thanks for sharing this traumatic experience.
Mites are such a pain, because they require pesticide in most cases, yet we don’t want to poison our reptiles!
It’s difficult to treat thoroughly, but yet make sure the reptile isn’t poisoned as well.
I’m glad you shared, as many people will read this.

I have read that the half life is 30 days. Also mentions that once sprayed and dried, it bonds to whatever surface it's on and it is advertised that cages can even be misted after that. I was weary of that because bottom line, it is a poison. I have used it in the past with good results, but it does concern me

67temp is an awesome snake dad. he stayed up with her all night when we realized she rested when in our laps. it was a horrible experience that i hope no-one has to go through. we learned a lot and hope others can too. she spent a few hours curled up in my hoodie and let's say i had no choice but to get over my fear of carpets very quickly!

I think you both make great "snarents"... and I hope she makes a full recovery & remembers how to slide into your hoodie, hahaha!

I'm so sorry for whatever you & especially your snake(s?) went thru. For the sake of others, I hope you DO share your experience. Personally I'd be afraid to use P-A-M,
just based on what I've heard already- snakes are just so vulnerable to stuff like this.

You have my sincere sympathy & hugs... I've read other bad outcomes on previous forum, though mites themselves can kill too. It's a miserable choice to have
to make.
