Good that the arm took the bite rather than the alternative.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

This is actually hilarious. It probably shouldn't be, but it is.

"got the bite of his life" "taken to a hospital" C'mon ball python bites don't even hurt, I've only been bite by my little guy when he was a baby but I've seen lots of BP bites on YouTube and they all claim it doesn't hurt even if they are adults. I mean maybe if he got bit on the "danglers" it would of been the bite of his life but on the arm, yeah right. Funny story though, glad the snake didn't get killed.

Re: Man bitten by BP while on toilet
I'm wondering how in the world the bite ended up on the guy's arm when the BP was in the toilet lol! I hope the snake was okay after apparently hanging out in the plumbing and possibly having a scrap with the guy who found him. Glad he's safe at a reptile centre now.
From the perspective of a BP owner going to the hospital for a BP bite is pretty funny, but I guess for someone who has no knowledge of snakes they'd want to rule out the possibility that the snake was venomous and make sure the person got to the hospital just in case it was.

The number of times I've seen or helped snake IDs for someone and told them "No, it is a rat snake, it is not venomous or poisonous." Or something similar. And immediately been asked, "But it bit my dog, did it poison my dog?/do I need to rush him to the vet?" (Implying to get antivenom/treatment, not just for a medical wrap for bleeding from puncture wounds.) As if a nonvenomous snake IS still venomous to other animals like a dog.
To be fair to the guy or whoever sent him to the hospital, if this snake was living in the plumbing for any length of time, I'd probably want a doctor to rule out any nasties from the plumbing being inside the injury. Drinking toilet water or any pee/poop from the toilet near/in its mouth would definitely give it a less sanitary mouth than our pets do, that's for sure.
I'm also proud of whoever decided to include the edit statement that they updated the picture because they had previously had a Burmese python picture instead of a ball python and the effort to explain the difference between the most common pet python and the much larger invasive Burmese python people tend to jump to when the word python is used.

Before I even clicked the link, I had a premonition that the headline would include the words "Florida Man"...

"The man was taken to a hospital and treated for the snake bite." Oh come on! Glad the snake survived this...

Well sadly it gives more bad publicity to snake owners hence the importance of having your animals secured.
And this
The man was taken to a hospital and treated for the snake bite
well , I hope his deductibles are not too high considering how much hospitals are charging for the slightest thing it could be a costly experience.
