Quick question regarding Juice, my Borneo boy...
Just a quick question, not really a concern. Mostly just curiosity...
Anyway, I noticed earlier today that Juice is going into shed.
He also hasn't pooped in around 5-6 months. That doesn't worry me, being that he's in the blood/STP family. He has no signs of blockage or sausage butt, so I'm not sweating it.
My question, for those who keep/have kept bloods/STPs, should I expect a monster poop with his shed like often happens with BPs and other species?
He's never pooped with a shed before, but he hadn't had 6 months built up when any of his other sheds happened.
Just curious, thanks in advance.

I don't have one, but I was researching them pretty heavy the week before last, and from what I was reading, you can expect something equivalent to what my Great Dane leaves.

I’ve read many times on this forum that Bloods/STPs love to hold it forever just to give new meaning to the phrase, go BIG or go home.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

I've had him for about 17 months, he's pooped 3 times... He goes big. But this is the longest he's gone. I'm expecting to need a shovel, hahaha. Something tells me paper towels won't be enough.

Re: Quick question regarding Juice, my Borneo boy...
I'm in a blood group on Facebook (shockingly low drama that I see compared to many other groups, mostly posts include pictures of adults, pairings, eggs, and babies) and while it doesn't seem that shedding is a guaranteed trigger, it certainly is more than equal odds if he will or not.
A few "what does a 6-month poop look like?" Posts have turned out some very impressive pictures of the results. Most from full grown adults, but those looked easily on par with what I've seen from horses. (And one that had a 6qt tub as a water dish the snake filled 90% of with poop.)
I think a hose (for a tub) or dog pooper scooper would be the most efficient method, lol.

I only had time to snap a few quick pics, and he was constantly on the move, so this is the only one that wasn't blurry.
He looks thin after "expelling" almost 300 grams! Especially the back third of his body, hahaha.
