    Strange Eating Habit

Hey everyone! Does anybody else have a bp that exclusively seems to strike at the rat’s hind end? She finally started eating two weeks ago after a 6-month fast and, no matter how much I warm the head or dangle it from the tail, she always end up striking its butt and spending 10 minutes trying to swallow it backwards before realizing it won’t work She started this before the fast as well. It doesn’t seem to be a problem in the slightest, just weird!

All 9 of my snakes do this. I’m glad you brought this up.

I’m thinking that I must get the head too warm because I spend a lot of time on the head since it is hardest part to warm up.

I even run the hemostats under cold water before serving. And still, they seem to hone in on the hemostats or butt area.

Im going to change things up a bit for the next feedings.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

I have a snake (not a BP, by the way) that takes f/t from the tongs, but whatever end is NOT offered, that's the end he wants!? What's up with that?

    Strange Eating Habit

Mmmm my Boas used to sniff every millimetre of the rat before settling on the rat’s mouth / head each time ... then the Sunglow used to start munching as usual then stop for a 15 minute doze with 2/3 rds of the rat still hanging out ..
