    What Are Your Favorite Dinosaurs?

in honor of International Dinosaur Day, which is today - the 3rd Tuesday in May, i was wondering what was your fav(s)?

so me, it's hard to beat a fan fav like the T. rex. it had big teeth and a big bite, funny lil arms and was the anti-hero in the original and perfect Jurassic Park movie and a Dinobot warrior named Grimlock. i also like Stegosaurus.

    RIP Mamba

I was a big stegosaurus fan as kid, plesiosaurs and pterodactyls also. I was huge on dinosaurs, wanted to be a paleontologist and everything.

My 9 y/o son, who's our very own junior paleontologist, says his favorite dinosaur is Yi-Qi which means strange wing in Mandarin. Most of what I know about dinosaurs I learned from him. I'd say my favorite dinosaur is Carnotaurus meaning meat eating bull lizard.

I think Deinonychus is my choice.
About me: Recent graduate working at a research laboratory focusing on viral infection and protein folding. Keep many invertebrates, reptiles, and amphibians. Love getting and giving book recommendations. HUGE DnD and tabletop RPG nerd. Currently have one BP, a male YB Pastel het Clown, as well as about a dozen other species. Of note, Guacamole, my bearded dragon, is my ultimate scale-baby.

Re: What Are Your Favorite Dinosaurs?

Funny that this topic came up today. During my lunch break at work last night I happen to come across an article which described a dinosaur called dreadnoughtus. It was discovered in Argentina and it is believed to be the biggest terrestrial animal to ever have lived on earth. I think it has the coolest name ever so it's my new current favorite.

Even though a liopleurodon isn't a dinosaur (it's an aquatic reptile) I still think it's pretty awesome and pure nightmare fuel. Look it up.
