    Introducing....Malachi

Mike got in from work and after mulling over a few choices we've picked a name for the wonderful little male 100% het for albino ball python that arrived today from Adam at 8BallPythons.

His name is Malachi, pronounced mal-a-kye and it means "my angel".

For anyone that missed the other thread here's his pic taken by Adam. One of these days I have to get a cam LOL!!! He's a wonderful snake and already settling in nicely in his sterlite tub (curled up in a hide after having a nice post shipping drink earlier). We're very pleased with him!

Oh I didn't know it was a biblical name...how very cool! I'll have to look that up now (curse my enquiring mind!).

When Mike checked on him when he got home after work, little Malachi decided to do a very cute errrrrr ummmm manly scarey male snake hiss at Mike. Hope it didn't totally wreck his snakey self-esteem that we both burst out laughing at his brashness (well it was a dang cute lil hiss after all! LOL). Adam says he's a killer eater so after his settling in time and finishing up his shed we're looking forward to seeing the little fellow in action.

Hardest part of having a new snake remains the whole hands off thing! I think I need to go get one of the girls out later and satiate my itchy fingers LOL!

Yes. In fact its a book in the old testament: http://www.bible.org/page.asp?page_id=945

Also if he eats like A'Kashja (another of Adam's beauts and your snake god daughter! LOL) then he'll be a monster feeder! She's eaten for me every time I've offered food without fail! A'Kashja was a hisser too but for only our first 2 sessions. She hasn't hissed at me again since. As long as I don't have to remove her from her hide or startle her she's A OK with handling. So I'm sure the bloke will come around!

    Re: Introducing....Malachi

Oh thanks for that link Bryce! Saved me from googling my lil heart out!

I'm sure lil Malachi will be just fine. He'd had a busy day getting shipped and having me drool over him. Then Mike comes in and peeks in on him. Poor lil booger is all blue eyed to boot so he had every reason to tell Mike to HISS OFF! LOL

I just know he'll do well and be a wonderful addition to our snakey family as well as a lovely breeding male when the time is right.
