Red face Hello from Dumpling and I

    Hello!

I've been a lurker for a long time, and I recently got my first baby about two months ago! So I figured I'd introduce us.
Working on my About Me profile but very briefly my name is Jill and I'm a 22 pottery student in my final year of college.

Breeder says Dumpling is a Banana Cinnamon (possible, not proven Het Puzzle), would you agree? He's a very beautiful beige that's hard to catch in photos, and has a stunning gradient from the beige to a subtle mauve color from his neck to his little head. Picky eater (of course just my luck!!!) but very inquisitive and not head-shy at all.

Posted in a BP facebook group and people immediately started questioning my husbandry, like it was an impulse buy and I know nothing. Tried not to be offended because I've heard the rumors about those groups lol. Things seem to be a lot nicer here

Without further ado, here's the baby!!

First day, a little unsure at first but opened up very quickly!

    After quarantine, very curious!

The lighting in my house is a bit yellow, but here's a full body. so speckled for being so young!! Excuse my ignorance but could that be the Cinny gene coming through?

Here's a pic near natural light, See how beige?!

Last but certainly not least, a headshot

Thank you everyone!! I'm excited to finally have the courage to interact

Here's the "controversial" pic, Some guy chastised me for having a UTH *inside* his enclosure. I think he thought that because of the humidity monitor, and was rude about the coconut fiber substrate I used. He was exploring his new digs!!! Admittedly it looks a bit dry, but the monitors (I have 3!!!!!) all were spot on 55-60 degrees.. Others defended me but it still hurt my heart a little.

Plus! I thought he looked insanely cute but no one mentioned anything else but that situation.

Welcome, we're happy to have you here.

In general, the community on this forum is very kind and helpful. There are plenty of experienced keepers and breeders on the forum that are almost happy to help any time we can.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, that's how we learn. And we were ALL new once. Asking shows you care enough about your pet to ask, even if it seems like a silly question.

For the most part, the members here are very kind and understanding. If you make mistakes it's ok, as long as you learn from them and apply what you're learning.

My last bit of advice would be to cross reference everything you hear, read, etc ... Just because"Joe" at the reptile shop said it's a good idea doesn't make it true.
Learn from the right people and you'll be fine.

Best wishes, don't be shy, we're happy to have you on board.

Aww he's so cute!! I love his face... Adorable.

It's cool to see another art student hanging around! I'm beginning art school next semester. I'm in a ceramics class right now and that stuff is really difficult! We don't really do much pottery though because we don't have a wheel to throw on.

Well, congrats on getting such a cuuute snake. He's really precious
