    Post Your Butt Eaters!

the other day, FTS posted a vid of her Ratsnake eating it's prey butt first. i always kinda find it funny when they do this although it can be a struggle for the snake. do u have your own pix or vids of your snake or pet and animal eating it's prey backwards? from the it's rear quarters aka butt first? i think it would be fun if we posted our butt eaters.

this happens sometimes w/ my animals, but i've only captured it on camera only once. this is Glinda my Albino from when she was just a baby eating butt first. it was just a fuzzy so she didn't really struggle eating butt first.

i hope u post your butt eaters too.

    RIP Mamba

I don't have any pictures of what I'm about to explain, but one of my ball pythons has done this twice. Instead of eating his rat head first, or butt first, he swallowed it mid-torso and made a rat "taco" with head and butt meeting at the final moment. I had a boa do the same thing many years ago, too.

I had a big ball python try to do the insane sideways swallowing truck, but she gave up eventually and switched to the head. She has some brains. Lol

It’s an interesting post. Out of the four males I’ve been keeping (two 2014, two 2016). I’ve noticed a little more butt eating or sideways attempts then when I kept BBC and BCI or dumerils. I wonder if this is more common among ball pythons?

One time or another my BP, Olive, 2 Boas, and 5 Carpets have been butt munchers before. Though not common for these guys, it’s not uncommon either.

    Butch, before switching to F/T.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
