Wow. 25 years old. I am sad that they had to put him down, but he lived a long and I'm sure spoiled life! Nice find.

Rest in Peace, Hector. My personal favorite rattlesnake, "Kumar", lived to roughly the same age- this sure makes me miss him. He was also super-mellow,
& was not euthanized...he was never sick, just one day he passed peacefully. To this day, his remains are on my fireplace mantle, in a blue-speckled pottery
jar that says "Kiss my grits!"

RIP old timer!
I go to ASU and have never seen there collection, I feel like that's a crime.
I imagine its on the main campus, ill have to go check it out.

I think I may have seen one if its offspring at the Phoenix Zoo recently. I didn't know the story about the snake until I read this and I feel sad I missed seeing him.

I did see that the PHX zoo just got an albino, that's cool it was one of it's offspring! This is the second year in a row we got the year pass, money well spent. We love walking around and checking everything out.
