if i had the guts to own ( or it was legal to own some of these) a venomous snake, i would definately be interestedin owning a black mamba, those things are so gorgeous, scary, but gorgeous, i was born in south africa and when i was little i used to go to my grampas farm every christmas and once we found one in the house, i was scared , but somehow strangely attracted to it.....pretty how the entire inside of their mouths are completely black... second choice would be the gaboon viper, any snake with a cool little horn is cool in my book! how bout you guys?

Well, my dream is to own a zoo some day, and I'd probably start with only reptiles in it. I have a list of venomous herps that I'd like to be in it (30 something I think.. maybe more now I don't know lol)

bitis gabonica and bitis nasicornis are my favorite hots.

yea, back home they had a snake park which was awesome i always dreamed that when i was older it would be awesome to own my own and just have this huge place to show off all of my awesome herps!

As far as mambas go, the west african green is hard to beat cool factor-wise. Hairy bush vipers are another favorite. I could go on. lol

yea those are very pretty too, i love the king cobras, the patterns on their hoods are awesome

I like the pattern of the monacled cobra.

Red spitting cobras are fabulous looking as well.

Monacled cobras have a great hood pattern.....but king cobras really dont have an impressive pattern unless they have very distinct stripping IMO... I am very facinated with king cobras because of their size...and they are beautiful

Yes, king cobras have their own beauty.

As for rattlesnakes, canebrake, and carolina pygmy are sweet.

Puff adders have a killer pattern as well.

puff adders are pretty interesting to, used to get them at my grampas farm all the time too....
