    If you have eggs in the incubator or a chest freezer full of f/t reptile food (to say nothing of your own food) then having at least a backup generator to keep the food cold and the incubator at the proper temperature would be a smart purchase right about now.

    Wow, I'll say it's important to make preparations! As a former longtime California resident, there's no such thing as a summer without wind...and while I can
    sure understand the need to prevent massive wildfires sparked by power lines, this can have a really huge impact on people's lives. I wonder if they'll be cutting
    power off for thunderstorms too? They start fires every year also...
