    Anticipation

As the days near on my first of 2 clutches for the year. My anticipation and curiosity keeps building. Currently on day 50 at 89* F and Iím starting to feel impatient. I was good up until the last couple days. Momma made some great looking little enchis last year, getting excited to see whatíll pop out this year. BTW sheís back up over 2000g since laying. She was 2625g right before laying when full of eggs. And this is her second clutch at 4 years old.

My second bred female should be laying any time now. She is 5 year old 1550g pastel het clown on her first clutch, she is on day 32 after prelay shed. And liking very uncomfortable. Hopefully the odd gods will be in my favor with her clutch as she was bred by an enchi lesser het clown. The same male that bred the enchi girl.

Iím just getting excited and had to share,
    Kyle

Little girl laid last night!!! 4 good eggs with string veins. They look so huge compared to her. She was ~1500g pre lay and 1000g post lay. Mid July, canít wait to see what pops out and see if the odd gods are in my favor with both being het clown.

    Re: Anticipation

I definitely agree, the waiting is horrible. Especially the last couple weeks. The first month isnít so bad as you know itíll be a while. 7 more days on the first clutch. And starting to get a little excited and antsy. Canít wait to see what pops out. Iím hoping for a super enchi female to hold back. Depending on what pops out, itís how many females will I want to hold back with a 50% chance of het clown in them.

This morning the first baby was out and about. With a few others blowing bubbles. Hopefully more will be out when I get home tonight.

    Re: Anticipation

    Thanks!
Iím really in a toss up at the moment. Could be a high quality single gene enchi, or a lower quality super enchi. The eye bands are a lot more expanded than the single gene enchis I have. But not as much or as much banding reduction as I expected for a super. If itís female Iíll likely keep it, especially if it has the het clown tail marker. But Iím not positive yet.
