    Desert ghost/Clown Project

    Hey guys,
I’m new to the bp world and have been researching morphs I’d like to start a project with. I am finding that desert ghost/clown het combos are almost impossible to come by. I want to start a DG/clown project but am having a hard time locating morphs that contain both genes! (Double recessive, makes sense..) Any advice on locating these gene combos?

I would go check out JKobylka reptiles... I did a quick scan of his master list and he has an Enchi Het Desert Ghost 50% Het for Clown available. He is a fan of clean, contrasting animals, so he would be the first person I'd reach out to.

Funny you mention him, he’s the one who really got me excited about this! Love what the spotnose and leopard do to the clown gene, and the clown gene in general. I was going to go that route but then I discovered what DG does to clown and now I really want to find a way to make that work. However I’m realizing the morphs I’m really excited about are very expensive especially anything with both clown&dg. I’d like to get a pair where I can work in this direction but still doing some exploring before I dive in. Thanks for the input! Also happy to hear any thoughts on other good pairings with clown or DG as well!

In my opinion Justin is the best in the game!

I'm expecting eggs in a couple weeks from my DG girl, she was paired with my clown male I love DG combos and DG clowns are what I'm hoping to produce in a couple years. Both are beautiful morphs

How much are you looking to spend? How quick are you looking for results?

Personally, I'd go middle of the road and get a female visual clown and grow her up, then get a combo DG male to breed her and make double hets.

    Re: Desert ghost/Clown Project

I’m hoping to get two females that are either visual or at least hets and would like to stay under 700 each if possible. I’m realizing how complicated things get when you’re looking to play with multiple recessive genes..it’s quite an undertaking! But producing double hets seems like a smart way to go about it!
