Prey Swallowed Alive Leads to Interesting Procedure

ok i saw this awhile back but forgot where i saw it and couldn't find it. it was re-posted last night/yesterday to Snakchat and i had to take screenshots. so i looked it up on The Dodo but still couldn't find the article. anyways here's what happened...

an African House Snake apparently swallowed it's prey but the prey wasn't quite dead. the homeowner found the snake, monitored it and then took it to a vet. the vet took x-rays, saw that it had swallowed a bat that kinda too big. i'm not sure if the bat was still alive at this point, but they pondered surgically removing the meal butt opted instead to tightly bandage wrapp the snake's stomach to allow for (suffocation?) digestion.

here are the screenies. you could see the bat moving in the first 2 pix but these are just stills. i can't believe how long the bat was able to stay alive inside the snake tho:

Lucky snake that his predicament was noticed, & that was a great idea, to support his middle with a bandage. I've heard that house snakes are pretty motivated
eaters, but a BAT! Tough little snake! I just hope he doesn't try it again. I get a stomach-ache just looking at those photos..

That's insane! I wonder how he was able to catch that bat. Glad he had someone looking out for him and I hope the bandage helps him digest without any problems.
