    Breeding Size?

Okay so I've heard a range between 1200 and 1500 grams but just want to know what you guys personally go at. I have a female pastel at 700grams, gaining around 95 grams a month, she still seems young but if this continues she would be ready by next spring? Is age a factor or is it based on weight? Im feeding her an appropriately sized meal once a week, I would never power feed and my snake's health is more important than breeding, just curious and trying to figure everything out since I'm getting mixed responses.

It's a combination of age, weight and proportions.

Ideally as a base 1500 grams 18 months minimum and good body proportions. (Weight to length ratio)

    Breeding Size?

I wouldn’t breed a ball python female unless she was at least 1600 grams, and I prefer to get them over 2000 (unless they are just genetically smaller girls)
I’ve had 3 females lay eggs recently and the amount of body mass they lost is amazing!

My het pied girl was 2700 grams, and now she looks nothing like herself after dropping 8 big leathery eggs!

I’d be afraid of breeding a small snake, and stressing its body too much.

Depends on the animal.... I have a couple 5+ year old girls that have never broke the 1500g size.
