    Only one egg?

    This is my first year breeding ball pythons my female laid one big healthy looking egg 4 hours ago but still hasn't laid more is it just a waiting game now or is that not normal?

    She should be done in 24-48 hrs. If it goes beyond that, you may have an issue. The smallest clutch I have ever had is 4. What is her behavior like right now?

    Do you see more eggs in her?

    Some females will lay an egg ot two and lay the rest within 24 hours it does happen, the thing is you do want to know where she stands because if there are more eggs and they are not laid in the next 48 hours this could mean that there is an issue

    ...like one egg that is abnormally large and blocking the rest from being laid. Definitely something you need to find out & soon.

    Definitely has more eggs i palpated 5 follicules before ovulation

    I found the first egg 8 hours ago since then she's just been coiled like she was before head in the center tail outside of the coil

    was she a virgin/ first time momma?

    hopefully the other 4 eggs are laid soon for both your sake. one my my girls last year laid 6 over the course of the time i was at work during the day. i thought she was done and i pulled the eggs and saw she had 1 more in her. she last the 7th and last egg while i was making dinner. she was a virgin/ first time moomoo.
