Hatchling Size
Thinking about obtaining my first corn...
I saw some great examples at a local show and was converted!
I have an opportunity to pick up a month old hatchling in June (still in the egg now!) But is that too small/young to be moving and stressing out a hatchling corn?

Re: Hatchling Size
I've had week old corns that hadn't been fed shipped to me without issue. Most breeders will try to get 3-5 meals in a corn snake before they sell it. Typically a corn is ready for sale in 3-4 weeks after hatching.

I would make sure the animal is eating. Make sure the breeder gets a few meals in the snake before you bring it home.

they are pretty tough little snakes. i would wait until their first shed and a few successful meals, like others have said.
we got "infants" that were kinked and not fully expected to survive shipped to us. it was touch and go for a bit but they're doing awesome now even.
