    Live plants

Is it okay to go buy a live potted plant and put in with my ball python or is there some kind of quarantine to make sure it doesn't have any kind of bugs or insects in it ???

    Re: Live plants

Might want to check if the plant can survive the temp/humidity in the tank first.
If it can, I would keep it for a while to see if it's healthy before putting it in the cage. Not sure if there is a hard fast rule, but I'd wait 2 weeks or so.

Personally, I don't use live plants because BP's don't need to be around live plants, but they definitely love plants. All 3 of my BPs go into the hides in their tank every once in a while, but sleep and make their homebase on the warm side of their respected cages, underneath large (artificial) leaves rather than a hide.

(One BP loves climbing around sometimes, so he loves the fake plants in his tank.)
